In the words of Uncle Iroh "There’s nothing wrong with a life of peace and prosperity"
we don't all want the same outta life. howwabout that shit?

I've had a fight-or-flight response to anything resembling a normal life for a while here. I'd guess I'm afraid of being lame. withered up and complacent. It looks so frightening and confining. But Lee is totally brave, fuck fame and riches, that kid just wants a simple life: job, wife, kids, and a house.

maybe simple and lame arn't interchangeable words.

ambivalence. ambivalence is in the house

Griff looks cooler than I do
Im taller than him when Im standing on a wall

Great page!

Just curious, do your friends in these comics read them often?

Why does it hurt their feelings? They miss having you around?

Im not 100% sure. I think maybe just seeing me do crazy stupid things and use curse words and hate god sorta bring them down. They love me a ton all the same. We just don't discuss the comic.

Sometimes you appreciate such your life when you really feel and appreciate the contrast. I totally respect your aversion to normalcy. However, some of us are born into pure shit and various stages of mental illness makes it tough to have any kind of normalcy to operate as a productive member of society. This is how prostitutes and grifters and drug dealers and alcoholics are born. I fought tooth and nail through my teens and twenties to acquire a pleasant level of normalcy and ritual, and NOW i can adventure on MY terms. Now i can stand on my roof and howl at the moon and snuggle with bats and spiders and mosh at metal shows and it's pretty feckin' rad.

Rock it, dood.
