AndrewSindri had a great angle on the begging topic that I hadn't really given any credit to before now. I had till that point considered his kind of thinking to be well intentioned, but too trite and too fragile to be applicable in life. Andrew meant every word and to this day does a superb job of defending his position with his lifestyle. You won't find a more generous or caring person on the planet.
I wanna say more, but theres one more page to go.

Sindri has a face napkin
I tend to take things to extremes because balance means moderation, and I'm of an all-or-nothing breed. gotta check myself.

He has a pretty good point.
But I also understand what you say about it not really being applicable... I think it's is only personally applicable, as long as you always remember that the people around you have no intention of surrendering their own benefits.

Also, I have a mohawk hat like that one hehe

@ Kalegiro
I know you were saying "people around you have no intention of surrendering their own benefits", but on a larger scale, I see profoundly the opposite. I feel like I live in a country where many people are kind hearted and want to do something great, but have convinced themselves morality, outside of hurting others, is an illusion and nothing is really worth fighting for.

I feel like there is soo much potential energy out there, but no direction or goal to make things happen. If you gave people a worthy cause, I know a few who might even give their lives to make it happen.

But this is not unique to us. History is full of people willing to devote themselves to a cause. What is new is that we forgot what a "cause" is. Like the occupy movement: all passion, no direction.

Or maybe I am just projecting my own existential crisis onto everyone else. But I don't feel like I'm alone in this.
