tutorials a so much harder than comics. damn, I didn't know what I was doing.
I've gotten a multitude of people asking about the process and requesting a guide. So in an attempt to be helpful, I made this terrible thing that is guaranteed to confuse.

I wasn't really sure about what to focus on and theres so much more involved in making comics that I skipped over, and even more that I'm not even aware of. If you guys would like me to elaborate on linework, bad anatomy, composition, coloring, or whatever - let me know and I might make some follow up with some equally unhelpful tutorials.

serious though, make comics. we will save the world with comics.

Kickass tutorial! Read the shit out of it, bro. Several times.

I was actually tempted to ask you to do a tutorial a few weeks ago, but I figured you'd probably been asked before. I see I was right.

I'm stupid self-conscious about presenting my process as a tutorial. I really just feel like a doofus telling other people how to make comics when there are probably a million better ways to do what Im doing.
BUT THIS IS HOW LEARNING IS DONE, and you're stoked on it which is rad. Im happy.

It's a fantastic tutorial because you made it. Since you mentioned it, I would be interested in seeing a "bad anatomy" tut!

bad anatomy is the best anatomy. Perhaps in the future I'll make one of those.

This is wonderful~! So much helpful information.

One day, I will go on an adventure, and I will do this. I will make all the comics!

And save the world.

Why is making comics so important? Except as an excuse to adventure. Did I just answer my own question?
uradhere 3rd Dec 2012, 6:06 PM edit delete reply
excuse to adventure is a great reason. But also, just different perspectives of life are important to see. and we've all got stories, fictional or otherwise, that bring those perspectives across. Or even just a good story - or a good joke - or whatever it is people have to offer deserves some kinda outlet. Im partial to comics, but there's a million ways share it.

This tutorial is great! It is always awesome to see how everyone else makes their comics.
uradhere 5th Dec 2012, 9:13 PM edit delete reply
awesome dude. I agree. sometimes I'll feel sorta bad about how fast i read through someone's comic after i see all their details revealed from their tutorial. I guess that makes comics worth rereading though.
