I'm not sure what to say now.
I hardened my heart so I could deal with that lady getting clobbered all the time. I got hella cold. I can't help worrying if I've let this problem solving technique into places it dosn't belong. But i'm pretty heavy hearted by nature, so who knows.

EDIT 2018: I did a lot of victim blaming here and it's embarrassing but at the time i didn't know how else to interpret this shit cause my world was very small. Obviously my neighbor wasn't stupid, the way Racism and Capitalism are designed left her and my whole hood in the cold. She had mouths to feed and I didn't so what the fuck did i know about anything.

sadly there's nothing anyone can do to help people like that.. we accept the love we think we deserve -shrug- its like drug addicts, self inflictors or anything harmful and apparently "stupid" others do.. they have to want, truly want to stop.. or they wont

People are only ever going to change if they want to; you can claw and scratch at them or write them letters until you're blue, but after that you have to let go of the burden. It's tough, I know. I've had to let people go because I couldn't help them too, and in the end you have to trust that they will make the best choice for themselves.

I also really like that you will emphasize ideas through metaphor; with so little space to tell a story it really drives an idea without making it unbelievable

Usually women in abusive relationships don't leave, and/or keep coming back because their partners, the abusers, treat them in such a way that they believe they can't do any better, that they are worthless and that nobody would want them so they stay with their abuser. They start to feel like worthless piles of shit, and sometimes that their abusers really do love them. Their idea of a loving relationship becomes warped and it's like they literally can't get away, because they fear they'll just end up worse off anyway.
