this is me on the bus ride up to the farm in sauve island. groggy from last nights chase, sore from the dance, still stale with sweat and warpaint.

sorry had to tie it up more properly.
now I can finally dub this site as DONE and OVER and FINISHED.
the only other thing i can see posting here would be if I were to have a published book to sell. and I dont see that happening in an soon kind of future.

If you'd like to follow my work beyond AOJ than catch me at my deviantart page or hit me up at wedrawcomics

This isn't going to be like "final" fantasy right? Because they're already working on number 15.

I've been following this comic for a little over a year now. It's pretty inspiring! It's bittersweet to see it over but I hope to see new stuff around online!

Sorry I'm late to the comment section (shit happened and I couldn't even check my computer/smartphone/interwebz but I got back on today)
This was definitely one of my favourite webcomics. Everything you did was interesting and honest and so good and damn. I'm gonna miss this [I know it'll stay up to read it and stuff but you know what I mean(or sorry if I make no sense)].
Keep up the rad comics, dude. I'll be sure to check out what other art/comics/cool stuff you make and buy whatever you publish 'cause I know it'll be cool.
It's been great reading your comic, man. Thanks for it. Stay awesome.

Like everyone else, I'm sad to see the end of this comic. It lasted me a few months and in a word it was amazing. This comic was a crazy whirlwind of emotions, that left me inspired, disillusioned, depressed, happy, disapproving, approving, enlightened and all 'round knocked of my feet. I'm sure that if we met we would get into one hell of an argument, your views are just so different from mine, but at the same time you are by far the coolest living person I know. It's been a novel experience. Thanks, and have a hell of an adventure.

hahaha yeah i've changed my views on a buncha beliefs I used to hold. Not saying we couldn't find things to argue about, I'm usually well supplied with objectionable opinions :p
I'm very flattered and humbled that you've enjoyed my comics so much. Thank you very much for reading!

I just found this written on a buried, dusty old post-it-note :) in my old room -
"I believe in the adventures of jonas - because I believe in the actual jonas. I believe in him more than peter pan.

Don't end them. Take brakes - certainly. Let them get dusty or sloppy or brilliant - let them change as you do, as long as they are honest. Just keep going. They will grow into something incredible the bigger and longer they go - like seamonkies! You told me you are on this earth for a story. And by god this is a moment in that story. You are the story.

Real love stories don't have endings. And the best adventure stories shouldn't have endings either. The best adventure is watching you grow and change.

I believe in the adventures of jonas. I believe in Jonas. "

... I wonder if I found it too late.

I've received a lot of messages from people expressing their being bummed out that the Aoj were ending. Out of all of them, you've been the biggest advocate for the comic's continuation. You make good points.
I still think i am a story. i'm just getting told in different ways now. I certainly still have adventures, and if i ever decide to make more AOJ I've got giant volumes of material to work off. But now's time for something else, at least for me it is.

Thanks for reading my comics, and writing post-its and stuff. you've done a lot to inspire this story, and my work in general.

Caught up a bit late, but caught up in the end.

My congrats for so many years of amazing artistic and personal exploration.

And my admiration. I've no doubt we'll find McCluggage in a cover sooner or later.

Just finished reading this whole thing again. Your work has had such a big influence on mine when I found it as it was beginning. If you ever need a guest comic, I'd be more than happy to make one for you.
uradhere 14th Jul 2014, 11:21 AM edit delete reply
yo man that means a lot to me. I'm stoked you liked the comic, but i'm super mega ultra stoked that you liked it enough for a second read through. I'm totally honored to be an influence too, dag.
far as guest comics go, they kinda only work for bio comics if the artists are acquainted. since you rock those bio comics too you probably get that. But are you still getting schooled up in santa fe? cuz i kickit down there a couple times a year.
I was also actually entertaining the idea of some gallivant fan shit. it's a little early in the comic but still.
shelbycriswell 16th Jul 2014, 4:09 AM edit delete reply
Oh, I meant if you ever needed a guest comic in general for any project your doing, not so much for this one in particular.

And yeah, I'm still in Santa Fe. I'll be there late August.

And please send Gallivant fanart. I seem to have already gotten some fan stuff

So you came and stayed at my apartment in Fort Wayne a few months ago. I was out of town but you hung out with my brother. He got me turned on to your comic after that.

Your comic is amazing. I kinda teared up at the end. Definitely inspired me to do some more adventuring. Great work dude, and thank you for sharing!
